Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Kazakhstan (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets import price amounted to $5,846 per ton, increasing by 9.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 19% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $8,797 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($6,526 per ton), while the price for Kyrgyzstan ($1,647 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets export price amounted to $7,695 per ton, waning by -23.3% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, books, brochures and leaflets export price increased by +14.3% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 53%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $12,536 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,990 per ton), while the average price for exports to Azerbaijan ($1,678 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, overseas purchases of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter were finally on the rise to reach 5.5K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic downturn.
In value terms, books, brochures and leaflets imports skyrocketed to $32M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a deep downturn.

Overall, exports continue to indicate a pronounced increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, books, brochures and leaflets exports surged to $244K in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a deep setback.
