Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Morocco (CIF) - 2022
The average books, brochures and leaflets import price stood at $10,022 per ton in December 2022, growing by 11% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a notable expansion from December 2021 to December 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on December 2022 figures, books, brochures and leaflets import price increased by +43.2% against October 2022 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 141% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10,438 per ton. From August 2022 to December 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was the UK ($37,891 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,124 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+14.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average books, brochures and leaflets export price stood at $5,033 per ton in 2022, jumping by 61% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible shrinkage. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $7,011 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($15,814 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($581 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Morocco
In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter, when their volume increased by 38% to 9.2K tons. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage.
