Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in South Africa (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets import price amounted to $9,765 per ton, waning by -6.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 23%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $10,461 per ton, and then reduced in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($18,268 per ton), while the price for Australia ($1,615 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,019 per ton in 2016; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($13,951 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mozambique ($2,568 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Namibia (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
