The average import price for briquettes, ovoids and similar solid fuels; manufactured from coals stood at $982 per ton in 2022, jumping by 71% against the previous year. In general, the import price enjoyed a buoyant expansion. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,381 per ton), while the price for India stood at $701 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+25.9%).

In value terms, imports of briquettes, ovoids and similar solid fuels; manufactured from coals declined to $3.3K in 2022. Overall, imports saw a slight decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 13%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $3.9K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a lower figure.
