In June 2023, the average butter and dairy spreads import price amounted to $7,037 per ton, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 an increase of 8.3% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $8,074 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($8,144 per ton), while the price for New Zealand amounted to $6,913 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average butter and dairy spreads export price amounted to $3,673 per ton, reducing by -30.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, butter and dairy spreads export price decreased by -42.3% against 2018 indices.
