Price for Butter and Dairy Spreads in Uzbekistan (CIF) - 2023
In May 2023, the average butter and dairy spreads import price amounted to $6,354 per ton, reducing by -12.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 34% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $7,858 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to May 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($8,499 per ton), while the price for Kyrgyzstan ($3,270 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average butter and dairy spreads export price stood at $5,675 per ton in November 2022, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded tangible growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 7.4% against the previous month. The export price peaked in November 2022.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Georgia.
From December 2021 to November 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Georgia amounted to +3.0% per month.
Imports of Butter and Dairy Spreads in Uzbekistan
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of butter and dairy spreads decreased by -4.4% to 2.2K tons in 2022. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +97.9% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 35%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
