The average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $143 per ton in July 2023, increasing by 2.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 an increase of 11% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $724 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Afghanistan.
From August 2022 to July 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Afghanistan amounted to -13.8% per month.

The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $667 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -32.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed pronounced growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 75% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $1,098 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($1,486 per ton), while the price for Afghanistan amounted to $542 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+9.3%).

In 2022, overseas shipments of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds decreased by -36% to 21K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. In general, exports showed a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 73% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 43K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, exports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds fell remarkably to $3.8M in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a dramatic contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 40% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $13M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a lower figure.
