In 2022, the average export price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds amounted to $476 per ton, remaining stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 17%. The export price peaked at $563 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($878 per ton), while the average price for exports to Georgia ($84 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds stood at $106 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -52.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a deep reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 142%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $452 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($301 per ton), while the price for Iran totaled $97 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Iran (-8.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the amount of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds exported from Turkey declined significantly to 21K tons, waning by -20.3% on the year before. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 111% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 26K tons, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, exports of cabbages, cauliflowers, kohlrabi, kale and similar edible brassicas; fresh or chilleds shrank dramatically to $9.9M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 111%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $12M, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
