Price for Calendar and Calendar Block in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2022
The average calendar and calendar block export price stood at $14,503 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -9.5% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, calendar and calendar block export price decreased by -35.4% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 61%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $22,453 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($32,763 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($9,876 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average calendar and calendar block import price stood at $4,268 per ton in July 2023, which is down by -16.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 79% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $10,886 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($13,478 per ton), while the price for China ($3,646 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Calendar and Calendar Block in the Netherlands
For the fourth year in a row, the Netherlands recorded growth in shipments abroad of calendars and calendar blocks, which increased by 53% to 2.9K tons in 2022.
