In July 2023, the average export price for candies, sweets, and nonchocolate confectionery amounted to $5,171 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 15% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,209 per ton in May 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to July 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($6,434 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($3,949 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 8.4% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,051 per ton in June 2023, and then declined in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($7,366 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($3,747 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Candy, Sweets, and Nonchocolate Confectionery in Germany
