In January 2024, the average export price for carpets and other textile floor coverings; tufted, whether or not made ups amounted to $3.9 per square meter, standing approximately at the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a slight reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2023 when the average export price increased by 6.6% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4.6 per square meter in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to January 2024, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($6.0 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($1.6 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+6.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In January 2024, the average import price for carpets and other textile floor coverings; tufted, whether or not made ups amounted to $8.3 per square meter, rising by 8.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 20% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $10.1 per square meter in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to January 2024, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was the UK ($20.7 per square meter), while the price for China ($5.2 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
