In 2022, the average import price for cellulose acetates; plasticised, in primary formses amounted to $12,661 per ton, reducing by -41.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw notable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 73%. The import price peaked at $22,087 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($22,641 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($4,727 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (-1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of cellulose acetates; plasticised, in primary formses contracted markedly to $27K in 2022. Overall, imports saw a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 173%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $78K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of failed to regain momentum.
