In October 2023, the average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $1,710 per ton, with an increase of 13% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,711 per ton in July 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to October 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,893 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Africa ($1,390 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+9.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
