The average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin stood at $524 per ton in 2022, surging by 31% against the previous year. From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+0.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, purchases abroad of cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin decreased by -32.8% to 20K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, showed buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 93%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 29K tons, and then shrank significantly in the following year.
