In 2022, the average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $1,497 per ton, with a decrease of -1.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average import price increased by 49%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,520 per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,878 per ton), while the price for India ($107 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
