In 2022, the average import price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $1,497 per ton, with a decrease of -1.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average import price increased by 49%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,520 per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,878 per ton), while the price for India ($107 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $863 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a perceptible slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 101% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $1,326 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,590 per ton), while the average price for exports to Afghanistan ($203 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Imports of Cereal Flours; Other than of Wheat or Meslin in Iran
Imports of cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin into Iran declined rapidly to 32 tons in 2022, dropping by -20.3% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports saw a perceptible slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 68%.
