In October 2023, the average export price for cereal flours; other than of wheat or meslin amounted to $830 per ton, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to October 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 50% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,014 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($1,399 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sao Tome and Principe ($634 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sao Tome and Principe (+5.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $973 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($2,275 per ton), while the price for the UK ($635 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
