The average import price for chocolate bars with cereals, fruit or nuts stood at $9,842 per ton in November 2023, rising by 24% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated temperate growth from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, import price for chocolate bars with cereals, fruit or nuts increased by +48.0% against September 2023 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($18,193 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($3,497 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Switzerland (+7.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 28% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,760 per ton in October 2023, and then reduced slightly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Myanmar ($5,947 per ton), while the average price for exports to Japan ($1,226 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Imports of Cereal, Fruit or Nut Chocolate Bar in Thailand
For the fourth year in a row, Thailand recorded growth in supplies from abroad of chocolate bars with cereals, fruit or nuts, which increased by 8.7% to 6.6K tons in 2022.
