The average import price for cereals; grain sorghum, other than seeds stood at $1,767 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average import price increased by 48% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $12,343 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

From 2014 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+88.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
