In 2022, the average export price for cereals; grain sorghum, other than seeds amounted to $62 per ton, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average export price increased by 63% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $779 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($89 per ton), while the average price for exports to Burkina Faso amounted to $55 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (-16.9%).

After three years of growth, overseas shipments of cereals; grain sorghum, other than seeds decreased by -49.1% to 25 tons in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 1,263%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 49 tons, and then fell significantly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of cereals; grain sorghum, other than seeds dropped significantly to $1.6K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 608%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $2.7K, and then fell notably in the following year.
