The average cereals; maize (corn), seed export price stood at $5,299 per ton in August 2023, which is down by -3.7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 26% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $5,721 per ton. From July 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Paraguay ($6,579 per ton), while the average price for exports to Venezuela ($1,311 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
