Price for Cereals; Millet, Other than Seed in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022

The average import price for cereals; millet, other than seeds stood at $568 per ton in March 2022, rising by 12% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2021 an increase of 16% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $595 per ton. From August 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Canada ($1,173 per ton), while the price for Russia ($369 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Canada (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Malaysia.

From 2013 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Malaysia amounted to +10.7% per year.
