Price for Cereals; Rye, Other than Seed in Poland (FOB) - 2023

The average export price for cereals; rye, other than seeds stood at $228 per ton in September 2023, which is down by -10.2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 an increase of 13% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $311 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($230 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($222 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for cereals; rye, other than seeds stood at $235 per ton in 2022, growing by 14% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight downturn. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $472 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
