In 2022, the average import price for cermets; articles thereof, including waste and scrap amounted to $19,700 per ton, with an increase of 16% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 367% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $60,895 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($27,143 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
