The average import price for cermets; articles thereof, including waste and scrap stood at $56,969 per ton in March 2024, shrinking by -8.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 when the average import price increased by 39% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $116K per ton in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to March 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.

In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2024 an increase of 159% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $95,872 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to March 2024, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($83,585 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States stood at $79,831 per ton.
