In 2022, the average import price for cermets; articles thereof, including waste and scrap amounted to $20,634 per ton, surging by 9.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 38%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $35,999 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($44,349 per ton), while the price for France ($7,396 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average export price for cermets; articles thereof, including waste and scrap amounted to $17,459 per ton, rising by 13% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 15% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $28,008 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Finland ($26,118 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($14,020 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the amount of cermets; articles thereof, including waste and scrap imported into the Czech Republic soared to 996 tons, increasing by 19% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, total imports indicated a remarkable increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +11.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +60.4% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 34%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, imports of cermets; articles thereof, including waste and scrap surged to $21M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
