In November 2023, the average import price for cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered amounted to $6,852 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 8.7% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $7,356 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Switzerland.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Denmark amounted to +2.8% per month.

The average export price for cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered stood at $6,121 per ton in November 2023, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $7,538 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($9,504 per ton), while the average price for exports to Maldives ($6,005 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
