Price for Cherry and Sour Cherry in Serbia (FOB) - 2022
The average cherry and sour cherry export price stood at $1,334 per ton in 2022, growing by 13% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 40%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($2,195 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($473 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Montenegro (+14.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average cherry and sour cherry import price amounted to $1,165 per ton, which is down by -4.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate measured growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 57% against the previous year.
