In 2022, the average import price for chlorates and perchlorates; bromates and perbromates; iodates and periodateses amounted to $651 per ton, rising by 6.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 26%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $718 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were China ($661 per ton) and Canada ($547 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($512 per ton) and Finland ($535 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average export price for chlorates and perchlorates; bromates and perbromates; iodates and periodateses amounted to $1,197 per ton, increasing by 3.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 176% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5,825 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($74,595 per ton), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($623 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bangladesh (+30.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
