In October 2023, the average export price for chloride oxides and chloride hydroxides; other than of coppers amounted to $391 per ton, waning by -2.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 16% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $445 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($786 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($358 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $913 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports of attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
