The average chromium oxides and hydroxides import price stood at $5,731 per ton in 2022, growing by 27% against the previous year. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 75% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $6,801 per ton in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($17,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($3,168 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
