In 2022, the average import price for chromium oxides and hydroxides; excluding chromium trioxides amounted to $6,103 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for chromium oxides and hydroxides; excluding chromium trioxides increased by +27.1% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 45% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $7,791 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
