The average import price for cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes; of tobacco or of tobacco substituteses stood at $19 per thousand units in 2022, which is down by -5.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 23%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $23 per thousand units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($56 per thousand units), while the price for Russia ($13 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+19.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes; of tobacco or of tobacco substituteses amounted to $8.6 per thousand units, falling by -10.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $13 per thousand units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Moldova ($11 per thousand units), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($5.5 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Imports of Cigars, Cheroots, Cigarillos and Cigarettes; of Tobacco or of Tobacco Substitutes in Belarus
After two years of decline, purchases abroad of cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes; of tobacco or of tobacco substituteses increased by 15% to 573M units in 2022.
