In 2022, the average export price for cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes; of tobacco or of tobacco substituteses amounted to $28 per thousand units, dropping by -8.9% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.0%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 14%. The export price peaked at $31 per thousand units in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($58 per thousand units), while the average price for exports to Poland ($8.1 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+35.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +5.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 20%. The import price peaked at $29 per thousand units in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($110 per thousand units), while the price for the Czech Republic ($9.3 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+11.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 17%. The exports peaked at $825M in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
