The average export price for cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes; of tobacco or of tobacco substituteses stood at $0.1 per unit in 2022, surging by 8.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 78% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $0.1 per unit. From 2017 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($0.2 per unit), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates (less than $0.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+24.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
