The average import price for coal; anthracite, whether or not pulverised, but not agglomerateds stood at $99.4 per ton in December 2022, waning by -54.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 an increase of 112% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $484 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to December 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Overall, export price indicated a resilient expansion from December 2021 to December 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
