In 2022, the average export price for cocoa beans; whole or broken, raw or roasteds amounted to $2,337 per ton, waning by -5.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 22%. The export price peaked at $2,988 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Germany ($2,673 per ton) and Japan ($2,557 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($2,221 per ton) and Canada ($2,244 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
