In December 2023, the average export price for compounded rubber, unvulcanised, in primary forms or in plates, sheets or strips amounted to $3,325 per ton, which is down by -11.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 11% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $4,247 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to December 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($8,309 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($2,753 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for compounded rubber, unvulcanised, in primary forms or in plates, sheets or strips stood at $4,900 per ton in December 2023, remaining stable against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2023 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $5,020 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($12,471 per ton), while the price for Brazil ($2,436 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+5.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
