Price for Containers for Compressed or Liquefied Gas, of Iron or Steel in Thailand (FOB) - 2024
The average export price for containers for compressed or liquefied gas, of iron or steel stood at $19.6 per unit in March 2024, surging by 7.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 10% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $23.8 per unit. From May 2023 to March 2024, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was Cambodia ($40.8 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Philippines ($8.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for containers for compressed or liquefied gas, of iron or steel stood at $22.0 per unit in March 2024, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a slight decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2024 an increase of 23% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $27.7 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to March 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($74.8 per unit), while the price for Malaysia ($9.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to March 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, shipments abroad of containers for compressed or liquefied gas, of iron or steel decreased by -13.5% to 8.9M units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth.
