The average import price for containers for compressed or liquefied gas, of iron or steel stood at $48 per unit in 2022, growing by 9.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild reduction. The import price peaked at $58 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Malaysia ($48 per unit) and India ($48 per unit), while the price for South Korea ($48 per unit) and the United States ($48 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
