Price for Copper Oxides and Hydroxides in Germany (FOB) - 2023

The average copper oxides and hydroxides export price stood at $9,149 per ton in July 2023, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 6.4% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $9,479 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In July 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Romania ($11,015 per ton) and Turkey ($9,891 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($7,942 per ton) and Spain ($8,887 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average copper oxides and hydroxides import price amounted to $9,063 per ton, picking up by 9.5% against the previous year. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
