The average copper; powders and flakes export price stood at $14,926 per ton in July 2023, declining by -25.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 61% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $19,987 per ton, and then shrank significantly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($27,944 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($11,280 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+5.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 43% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $20,313 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
