The average import price for copper; strip, of a thickness exceeding 0.15mm, of refined copper, in coilses stood at $10,494 per ton in November 2023, with a decrease of -4.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 26% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $13,789 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($13,239 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($73.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
