In November 2023, the average import price for tube or pipe fittings, couplings, elbows, sleeves of refined copper amounted to $27,098 per ton, dropping by -21.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2023 an increase of 30% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $35,593 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($28,534 per ton) and Poland ($27,164 per ton), while the price for Italy ($22,893 per ton) and Austria ($26,093 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for tube or pipe fittings, couplings, elbows, sleeves of refined copper stood at $27,946 per ton in November 2023, with a decrease of -4.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 44% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $38,785 per ton. From September 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($51,363 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($22,004 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, purchases abroad of tube or pipe fittings, couplings, elbows, sleeves of refined copper decreased by -26.7% to 80 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
