In general, the import price continues to indicate a noticeable descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 75% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $17,467 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($15,545 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,310 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($18,011 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($5,968 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
