The average import price for crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates, prepared or preserveds stood at $8,160 per ton in December 2023, reducing by -7.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 8.9% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $8,923 per ton. From June 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($10,405 per ton), while the price for Chile ($4,723 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Chile (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+15.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
