The average export price for tubes and pipes of copper-nickel base alloys (cupro-nickel) or copper-nickel-zinc base alloys (nickel silver) stood at $20,824 per ton in December 2023, falling by -2.1% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 17% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $25,274 per ton. From April 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($42,477 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($13,462 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
