In 2022, the average import price for tubes and pipes of copper-nickel base alloys (cupro-nickel) or copper-nickel-zinc base alloys (nickel silver) amounted to $24,489 per ton, dropping by -33.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 143% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $49,086 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($23,253 per ton), while the price for India ($12,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+13.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In general, imports, however, showed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 1,659% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $165K, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
