The average import price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals stood at $7,621 per ton in October 2023, rising by 6.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 55% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $9,743 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $38,002 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
