The import price peaked at $2,043 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Norway ($3,758 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($1,150 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Norway (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average export price increased by 53% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,801 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
