In 2022, the average export price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds amounted to $2,078 per ton, declining by -29.5% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 25%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $2,947 per ton in 2021, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($2,701 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($1,691 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds stood at $758 per ton in December 2023, rising by 1.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 47% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,307 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Brazil ($1,724 per ton), while the price for Ecuador ($514 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 63%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 120K tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
In value terms, imports of dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes and mangosteens; fresh or drieds reduced sharply to $97M in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 132% against the previous year.
